High Performance Teamworking

We promote 'teamworking' as opposed to 'team building'. Effective teamworking is an essential precursor for team building in every team because the skills learned are life changing skills and can be used in many different scenarios not just work. Skills learned for team building often disappear once the project or team has been disbanded.

This programme gives you skills that are essential to be an effective member of any team by:

  • Using a methodical approach to get work done

  • Setting, clarifying and agreeing aims

  • Managing one's own and other people's ideas

  • Recognising and using team members' skills

  • Gaining and maintaining the commitment of others

  • Actively observing and giving specific feedback on these things that affect the outcome of work

  • Learning from experience and making continuous improvement.

    We achieve this by having participants work in teams to plan and carry out a series of tasks. These tasks can be neutral or work related. After each task the team carries out a review led by the coach who helps draw out the lessons in order to apply them to new tasks in an upward spiral of improvement.
